The Bootmobile is a creation from the folks at L.L.Bean designed to help celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary. It’s a mobile version of the iconic flagship product, the Bean Boot. It was a custom built ride that was designed using 3D renderings of both the Bean Boot and various trucks to create something entirely unique. According to the design team at Echo Artz, it’s not just a truck with a boot on it. It’s actually total integration. The boot was sculpted in foam and fiberglass and has a steel structure. It is a very true replica, down to the red and yellow laces, which are actually tugboat ropes capable of hauling 120 tons. Like all L.L. Bean products, this thing is no gimmick or cheap fabrication, and it’s clear that the folks at Echo Artz really stepped up to the task of producing it.
As you can see, there are many reasons that it’s worthy of a mention here. Especially considering we spotted it outside our office yesterday! If you want to catch a glimpse of it, be sure to check out it’s event itinerary for the summer, or if you’re lucky, you might see the street legal vehicle kickin’ down the highway!
