France has a rich history and colorful characters like Charles Martel, Clovis, Joan of Arc, George Sands, Victor Hugo, Jean Paul Satyr, and many others. I think it would be a most fascinating if you were to construct your journal entries with historical implications rather than emphasising on geography and culture.
