Travel Trivia Thursday
Posted by Hans Ericsson | Under Travel Trivia Thursday Apr 16, 2009Congratulations to Leeroy Jenkins who knew that the image in last week’s travel trivia was located in Warsaw, Poland. For this week’s image, we take a different turn with a two part question…

What is this the name of this capital city, and why are there giraffes in this photo?
As always, answers will be posted later next week. Good luck!

This capital city is Nairobi in Kenya and the giraffe’s are permanent resident’s of the Giraffe Manor, an elegant hotel in the capital city. THese giraffe’s have lost a lot of their natural habitat and past owners of the Manor wanted to try and preserve this species!
I think you will find that those giraffes are enjoying a scenic walk through the beautiful Coast Park located in the heart of Giraffeopolis. Giraffeopolis is of course the capital of the country of the United Union of Giraffes (UUG).
It certainly is a different world in that country!
Having a rental car in this location is a must! I do not recommend a convertible though as giraffes will pluck you from your vehicles as you driving! What a world!
I’d like to visit there!
Looks like Sydney, and photo is taken from the Zoo across the Harbor.
