Instead of average temperaures you should consider daytime temperatures, which are usually above freezing the whole year. And the standard daytime temperature in August is 68F.

There is ususlly not falling that much snow - and it mostly soon melts. Only about once or twice each decade do we get real snow for any significant length of time. Skiing is far from a national passtime and ski jumping is all but impossible due to the general flatness of the country (in addition to the lack of snow). If skiing is your thing you should rather go to Norway.</description>
