A New Frontier
Posted by Hans Ericsson | Under Current Traveling News Wednesday Apr 1, 2009With today’s gas prices, you may notice some new alternate forms of transportation in your every day life. Most of us can’t get a car loan, so here are some affordable options to get you where you need to go.
The Segway
This popular mode of transport is not only hip, but everywhere you go, people will notice you, for what it’s worth.
Hang Gliders
With talk of harnessing the power of wind, these majestic gliders will undoubtedly replace airplanes in the near future. All you need is a mountain or tall building and you can get at least 3-400 feet closer to your destination. The best part is, it’s totally green.
Teleportation
While this idea only exists in theory, rumor has it that the “economic stimulus package” is really secret funding to make this happen. No more pushing your way through the crowd at a Jonas Brothers concert, soon you will be able to teleport yourself directly onto the stage. Sounds epic.
Oxen
Ever since the Oregon Trail, many have wondered if these graceful creatures would ever make a return. Now seems to be the right time. They can pull you over all kinds of terrain, and your now worthless car can be outfitted with the proper hitch and runner at minimal cost.
Keep checking back for updates on how you can rent oxen on your next vacation.

Do those oxen come with GPS?
Oxen! I’ve played that game before! They can not cross rivers, then you have to ford it and the wagon always tips over. Then you die from dysentery.
